A memorial was held on Saturday, the 10th of July at the Eagles
Lodge in Grand Junction. Burial was in a family plot in Delta, CO.
Mr. Hocker was born and attended grade school in Grand Junction
before moving to California in 1961 after the death of his father,
Claude T. Hocker. His father was manager of Meadow Gold Dairies
for many years in Grand Junction on Main Street. His mother, Bette
Hocker Porter who was also born here, modeled and was on tv in
Grand Junction.
Van married Christine Periera of Pensacola, FL on September 25,
1982. He leaves behind his mother of San Rafael, CA; niece, Julia
Freeman of Fulson, CA; Aunt Pat Billingsley of Grand Junction;
cousins, Connie Ann Cox of Whitewater; John Wayne Foust of
Fruita and Jim Schaefer of Portland, Oregon.
