Marilyn left this world to be
with the Lord and is now singing
with the Angels. She leaves behind
the love of her life, John
Schmahl, who she married in
1975.
She was born to Calvin A. and
June (Tucker) Lawrence. Marilyn
was raised in Paonia, CO where
she graduated from high school.
Along with her husband, a brother, Larry (Edna) Lawrence of Kearney,
AZ; daughters, Carla (Mark) Branton of Clifton and Cathy
McMullen of Fruita; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
survive. Her parents and sister, Nancy Edgeman preceded her.
Marilyn spent many hours volunteering with the Arthritis Foundation
and, with her love of singing, sang with the Happy Notes and in
the church choir. She belonged to Grand Valley Rebekah Lodge
#40, Grand Junction LEA #38, Ute LAPM #9 and Alpha Theta Rho
#1. Marilyn was a Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of Colorado
and Past Grand Matriarch.
Services will be Friday, September 10th at 1:00 p.m. at First
United Methodist Church in Grand Junction and will conclude with
burial in the IOOF cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made
to Grand Valley Rebekah Lodge #40, PO Box 658, Clifton, CO
81520. Arrangements are entrusted to Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Sept. 10, at First United Methodist

Burial will follow at Orchard
Mesa Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband,
John of Palisade; two
daughters, Carla Branton of
Clifton, Catherine McMullen
of Fruita; one brother, Larry
Lawrence of Kearney, Ariz.;
seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
