Lenora Louise Lujan passed
away on July 22, 2010 at Hospice
Care Center. She was 90 years
old.
She was born on November 6,
1919 in Mountain Grove, MO to
Charles and Gertrude (Yocum)
Peachee. She graduated from
Gravel Point High School in MO. She married A. L. Lujan in 1955,
they later divorced. Louise worked as a nurses aide. She loved to
hunt for rocks, collect stamps, play bingo and watch sports on television.
She was a resident of the Grand Junction area for 45 years.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived
by her daughter, Anna Louise (Roger Casey) Jones of Loma;
grandchildren, Matthew F. Jones of Minneapolis, NM; Amber D.
Jones of Moreno Valley, CA; and special “grandsonâ€, Danny Woods
of Grand Junction. She also leaves behind her four legged constant
companion, Sydney. Special thanks to a wonderful friend and caregiver,
Theresa Motano.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on
Saturday, July 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fruita Assembly of God on
Peach Street in Fruita.
Snell-McLean Funeral home has been entrusted with arrangements.
