Milo Michael Rodriguez, 2, passed away at his home in Gypsum on June 16.
Milo was granted his angel wings, and his final days were spent surrounded by family that Milo had touched in such a big way throughout his short yet very memorable life.
Milo was the son of Mike Marvin Rodriguez and Sara Renee Belden and the brother of Joah Joseph Rodriguez, of Gypsum. He was born Jan. 21, 2009, at Vail Valley Medical Center.
Although only 2 years old, the boy with the curly brown hair and shining brown eyes had a personality and smile that delighted those around him. Milo loved playing with his brother, Joah, and going to the park and zoo. He loved “Thomas the Train†and “Toy Story†(especially Woody). He loved riding his bike and going on walks with his grandparents. He loved to visit his great-grandparents' (Bud and Marge Gates) ranch on Derby Mesa, although he was a bit wary of riding a horse. Milo was a happy and fun-loving angel who will be missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, brother and great-grandparents, Milo is survived by grandparents Tami Schmidt, of Gypsum, Joe and Florie Rodriguez, of Gypsum, and Brad and Kelly Belden, of Fort Collins. Other survivors include aunts and uncles Monte Belden, of Gypsum, Travis Belden, of Goodland, Kan., and Rich Rodriguez and MaryJane Gonzalez, of Gypsum; and cousins Kade and Peyton Belden, of Goodland, Kan.
Funeral services for Milo were held Tuesday at the Farnum Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum. Following the services, a reception was held at the First Baptist Church in Gypsum.
Those wishing to make a donation to the family can direct checks to the Milo Memorial Fund in care of Wells Fargo Bank, P.O. Box 567, Eagle, CO 81631.
