Rose Lynch, Grand Junction,
CO formerly of Niagara Falls,
NY, passed away on September
10, 2010 at the La Villa Grande
Care Center. She was 88.
Rose was born on February 20
1922 in Niagara Falls, Ontario,
Canada from the union of George
and Auleka "Jenny" (Teravich)
Polovich. Rose grew up in Niagara
Falls, and at the age of 12 her mother passed away. Rose went
to work for a doctor's family and later became a waitress. During
this time she enjoyed going with a group of friends to a local dance
where she met Sonny Lynch. On December 17, 1938, Rose married
Sonny Lynch in Niagara Falls, NY. Sonny preceded Rose in death in
1999.
Rose worked for several years as a secretary for a drafting company.
Upon retirement Sonny and Rose loved to travel and had
many wonderful trips, often visiting her son Robert and wife Pamela
in Grand Junction, CO, twice a year.
Rose loved to spend time with her grandkids Kelly and Kristen.
She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards (Euchre), reading a good
mystery novel and crocheting, often giving lessons. When Sonny
would go off to work, Rose enjoyed listening to the Arthur Godfrey
and Friends radio program.
Rose leaves behind a son, Robert (Pamela) Lynch of Grand Junction,
Colorado; a sister, Florence Schacht of Groveland, MA; two
grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.
No services are planned at this time. Rose will be placed at Niagara
Memorial Cemetery next to Sonny at a later date.
