MIKE BANTA, 18, DIED FOLLOWING OPERATION.
Mike Banta, 18 year old son of Mrs. Myrtle BANTA of Eagle, died in the Glenwood hospital June 4, of complications following surgery.
The young man had entered the hospital May 31 for an appendicitis operation.
Don Michael BANTA was born March 18, 1945 to Myrtle and Cecil BANTA in De Beque, Colroado. He had lived in Gypsum and Eagle, and attended Eagle Valley High.
The funeral will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Miller Chapel in Eagle. Interment will be in Eagle.
Pall bearers will be former schoolmates: Dwight KINNETT, Arthur BUNIGER, Ron SCHLUTTER, Scotty DECKER, Alvin SCHUMACHER, and his brother, Tom BANTA.
The young man is survived by his mother of Eagle; father, Cecil, of Placerville, Calif.; one brother, Tom of Eagle; and three sisters: Phyllis GREEN of Utah; Donna MASON of Olathe and Linda BANTA of Placerville.
