Mrs. Spitzer was a homemaker.

On September 20, 2010 God received one more angel into Heaven.
Violette V. Spitzer passed away at Crossroads Assisted Living in
Rifle, CO at the age of 97.
Violette was born August 12, 1913 in Morland, Kansas to George
and Luella (Davis) Dickson. She married Frank H. Spitzer on March
27, 1949. He passed away in August of 2004. Violette was a resident
of Grand Junction for 75 years. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church in Grand Junction and enjoyed gardening,
reading, and crocheting.
Violette was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Spitzer;
son, Michael Spitzer; brother; Roy Dickson; sister, Iva Nelson;
nieces, Norma Shaw, Sunny James and Sheila Osborn; and 11
grandnieces and grandnephews.
Violette had a life long relationship with God. She read her Bible
faithfully and always spoke of her love for the Lord.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at
10:30 a.m. at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Memorial contributions may
be made to Mesa County HFH, P.O. Box 4947, Grand Junction, CO
81502.
Arrangements are under the caring direction of Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary.
