Nadeen James Bearden - June 28, 1949
Elton J. Bearden, of Loveland, passed away on Dec. 1 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was 83. Elton was born April 21, 1926, in Squaw Creek in Edwards to Roland J. Bearden and Maude LeWright. He married Nadeen James on June 28, 1949, in Colorado. To this union four children were born. On April 10, 1967, he married Jacqueline Adams. To this union three children were born. Elton worked for 35 years for the State of Colorado Highway Maintenance Department in various areas in Colorado. He is survived by four daughters and three sons: Maude Hawkins, Elton B. Bearden, Roland Bearden Jr., Merna Snow, Ellis J. Bearden, Amanda Mudron and Loretta Boss. There are 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with several nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews. Memorial services were be held on Dec. 4 at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs followed by interment at Rosebud Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Pathway Hospice or the Diabetes Foundation.
