Maudiebell Driskill passed away
June 18, 2010 at Larchwood Inn,
Grand Junction after an illness,
she was 83. Maudiebell was born
on January 20, 1927 from the
union of Conrow and Nora Bell
Bickerstaff in Denver, CO. She
attended Denver, CO schools, and
later attended Passadena College.
She married James Driskill on
November 1, 1988 in the Mount Vernon Church of the Nazarene in
Mount Vernon, WA, he precedes her in death.
Maudiebell was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in
Grand Junction and through the years she taught Sunday school
classes and also served as Missionary President and church Treasurer.
She retired from Stearns-Roger Engineering and Westco Fabrics
on January 30, 1989, after 24 years of service. Maudiebell spent
her last years being cared for by the loving members of the First
Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Goodman; three stepchildren, Ed
(Diane) Driskill, Dee Driskill and Darrell Driskill; three nieces,
three nephews and a close friend of 67 years, Rea Thorngate.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010
at the First Church of the Nazarene with visitation from 1:30 - 1:45
p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 2:00
p.m., Monday, June 28, 2010 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, CO.
