Joan W. Mayberry was born
March 21, 1924 in Coldwater,
Kansas to Mayme and John Burnette.
She had a career in the hospitality
industry, owning and managing
a number of hotels in Colorado
and Wyoming.
Joan was preceded in death by
husband, Herb Mayberry in 2003
and son, Sidney in 1958. She is survived by her three children, Sam
Alfstad of New York City; Shelley (Joe) Luff of Grand Junction,
and Stace (Tania) Alfstad of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren,
Cameron, Annie and Casey Alfstad; Sean (Heather) Kreidler; Lisa
(Bill) Holle; Serena, Asa and Micah Alfstad; four great grandchildren,
Courtney, Kaley, Canon and Karsen Kreidler.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 22,
2010 at First Presbyterian Church, 3940 27 1/2 Road with Pastor
Tom Hansen officiating.

86, Fruita, died Oct. 17, 2010, at
Family Health West.
Services are pending with
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
Mrs. Mayberry was a hotel
manager.
Survivors include two sons,
Sam Alfstad of New York City
and Stace Alfstad of Grand
Junction; one daughter, Shelley
Luff of Grand Junction; eight
grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
