Alline was born in Bloomfield, MT, the last surviving of six siblings
of Charles Hudson and Alice May Brown. On December 25,
1947 she married Lewis “Bill” William Golden in Wichita, Kansas.
They lived in Kansas until 1960, when they moved to Boulder,
Colorado. In 1981 she and her husband moved back to Wichita,
Kansas.
Alline served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) during World
War II. She later worked as a Lab Technician, Avon Representative,
and finally retired from Sears Roebuck as a Credit Manager. She
and Bill were active in the Order of the Amaranth throughout Colorado.
Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death on January 30, 2005.
She moved to the Grand Junction area in 2005, living at Aspen
Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center the past two years.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Hunter and
son-in-law, Joseph “Joe” Hunter of Fruita, CO; two grandsons, William
Hunter (Beth) and James Hunter, and two great grandsons,
Mikel and Dane.
A memorial service honoring Alline will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment
will be at Star Cemetery, Greenwood County, Kansas. Visitation
will be one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may
be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, 3090B
North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
