St. Mary’s Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m.
Nov. 20 at Martin Mortuary
Chapel.
Survivors include two sons,
Daniel of Costa Mesa, Calif.,
and Ronnie of Grand Junction;
one daughter, Roxanne of Costa
Mesa; his mother, Jean Rose
Marksberry of Sandusky, Ohio;
one brother, Dallas of Monroeville,
Ohio; and one sister,
Becky Schiappa of Binghamton,
N.Y.

He is survived by two sons,

Ronald Wayne Bennett, long
time Grand Junction resident,
passed away at St. Mary's Hospital
on October 30, 2010, from injuries
sustained in a auto accident.
Ron was born in Sandusky, Ohio
to Dallas and Jean Rose Linkenb
a c h B e n n e t t . H e l i v e d i n
Sandusky as a child and young adult. After a brief time in the service
he moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming at the coaxing of his twin
brother. Here he met Patty Ann Williams, they were married in Tucson,
Arizona in 1982. From this union three children were born.
They later moved to Grand Junction, Colorado were Ron started
his own general contracting business, he was a master craftsman
who took great pride in his work. His family remembers him as a
happy person who was always smiling and had a joke. He had a
heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was a member
of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed his many years of fellowship
with them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas; twin brother, Don;
stepfather, Jack Marksbury, and two stepbrothers, Gary and James
Marksbury. He leaves behind his mother, Jean Rose Marksbury of
Sandusky, Ohio; brother, Dallas (Ella) Bennett of Monroeville,
Ohio; sister, Becky (Rick) Schiappa of Binghamton, New York; his
children, Roxanne Bennett of Costa Mesa, California; Daniel Bennett
of Costa Mesa, California, and Ronald Bennett, Jr. of Grand
Junction, Colorado, and their mother, Patty Bennett of Grand Junction,
Colorado.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held Saturday, November 20,
2010 at the Martin Mortuary Chapel at 11:00 a.m.
