Mrs. Trusheim co-owned and

with her husband.
Survivors include her
husband, Phil; one son, Tom
Gundel; fi ve daughters, Marie
Adkinson, Dawne Gundel, Katherine
Hunt, Susan Ormsby and
Trish Pauley; 16 grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.

Betsy R. Trusheim, 75, Grand
Junction, died Nov. 4, 2010, at
Hospice Care Center under the
loving care of her family. Services
will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday
November 11 at Callahan-Edfast
Mortuary.
Betsy was born July 4, 1935 to
Ivan and Mary Thomas in Buena
Vista, Colorado. She graduated in
1952 from Estes Park High School. Betsy was previously married
and had three children from that marriage. On November 23, 1978,
she married the love of her life, Phil Trusheim in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They resided in Grand Junction since that time.
Betsy was co-owner of Home Appliance Center with her spouse
Phil Trusheim. Betsy was an avid reader and loved her faith and was
an active member of Church of Christ. She was always the peacekeeper
of the family and was the greatest hostess. No one ever went
hungry or thirsty in her home. Betsy lived at Palisade Living Center
during her last few months and the family acknowledges and thanks
the staff for the care they provided.
Survivors include her husband, Phil; one son, Tom (Dianne) Gundel
of Broomfield; two daughters, Dawne Gundel and Susie (Rod)
Ormsby of Grand Junction; three step daughters, Marie (Bobbie)
Adkison of Denver; Katherine (Gene) Hunt of Grand Junction, and
Patricia (Don) Pauley of Missouri; 16 grandchildren; seven great
grandchildren and her best friend, Mia, her dachshund.
The family would like to thank Community Hospital Staff for their
compassionate care and also to Hospice staff, Dr. Amy Mohler and
Dr. Vickie Roy and all other hospice staff involved for their respectful
and compassionate care.
