Irene M. Evancho of Grand Junction died Jan. 9 at the Hospice Care Center.
She was the wife of Stephen J. Evancho and the mother of Steven Evancho of Edwards, John Evancho of Eagle, Sam Evancho of Gypsum, Stephanie Thomas of Gypsum, Anne Augustine of Charlotte, N.C. and Helen Hagerty of Parachute. She also had eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Sunday, January 16 at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen J.; three sons, Stephen of Edwards, John of Eagle and Sam of Gypsum; three daughters, Stephanie Thomas of Gypsum, Anne Augustine of Charlotte, N.C., and Helen Hagerty of Parachute; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
