William “Bill†B. Schumann
passed away Monday, November
8, 2010 peacefully after a long
illness with Parkinson's Disease.
He was 79.
Born in Montrose on July 28,
1931 to John and Marjorie Schumann,
he was raised in Rifle and
Rulison, Colorado before moving to the Grand Junction area and
eventually marrying Marie Thereze Etcheverry.
Bill has four daughters, Marjiana Schumann of Tasmania, Australia;
Billie Sue Gross of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Leticia Schumann of
Brisbane, Australia, and Sheila Thorne of Yeppoon, Australia and a
step-son, Nick Lohr, of Kaneohe, Hawaii. He also has eight grandchildren,
Michael, Trevor, Marie, Anna, Georgie, Corbin, Rhett and
Billie Sue.
Bill lived a long and full life as a farmer, an architect, and a
builder, often at the same time.
He is survived by his wife, Darla Sue, of Cedaredge, Colorado.
He is dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00
p.m. at Callahan-Edfast in Grand Junction with burial services in
Fruita at Elmwood Cemetery.
