Robert Lawrence Bellm, 78,
passed away while in Hospice
Care on November 8, 2010. He
had been a resident of Grand
Junction for over 35 years. Bob
was born in Divide, Colorado to
Katheryn and Leo Bellm in 1932.
He spent his childhood in Carbondale
with his beloved grandmother,
Anna Boyd. Bob and his
first wife (Silvernell) had two children, Donald Eugene and Laura
Ann. His second wife was Nina. They had two children, Patricia
Ann and Cheryl Lee. Bob then married Erma Beatty and they also
had two children, Robert Lee and Brian Keith. He is preceded in
death by his wife, Erma and son, Donald. He had 11 grandchildren
and five great grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings, Raymond,
Zelma, Dale, LeRoy, Ernie, Donna, and Betty.
In 1952, Bob joined the Army. He served his country as a military
policeman during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in
1957. Bob drove big rig trucks for a while before beginning his career
as a bus driver with Continental/ Greyhound Busline. After 32
years of driving and earning several commendations for safe driving,
he retired in 2003.
Bob enjoyed collecting rare and uncirculated coins and tending to
his lawn and roses with his faithful Pug, Sissy, by his side. He was
called "Dad" or "Grandpa" by many people in Grand Junction because
of his giving nature. You felt like the most special person in
his life when he gave you a grin and one of his quick winks. His
generosity, wit and laughter will be greatly missed.
Please join our family on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Martin
Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. A full military honor ceremony at the
Veteran's Memorial Cemetery will follow at 1:00 p.m. The family
also invites you to join them afterward to celebrate Bob's life at the
Country Inn on Horizon Drive.

Colorado 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 80506.
