Gayle Reid, 58, of Edwards died Aug. 10 at Kindred Hospital in Denver.

Reid was born Nov. 8, 1952, in Minneapolis to Swen and Beverly Barkeyus. She grew up in Minneapolis, was in banking her whole life, and raised two kids on her own. She loved to laugh.

She moved to the mountains 18 years ago and and loved the Vail Valley and valued friends a lot.

She is survived by sons Traverse and Dillon Reid; sister Cath; and nephews Adam and Tim.

Memorial services is Sunday at the Gypsum Amphitheater. Interment is 1 p.m. Sunday in Gypsum.
