Olive Rose Roberts September 10, 1930 – January 8, 2011 Olive Rose Roberts, age 80, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Olive was born in Lake George, Colorado to Ira James and Ida Maude Moreland on September 10, 1930. She attended K-12 in a small one-room school in Lake George and afterwards moved to Denver to attend nursing school. Olive was a very outgoing woman, who loved the great outdoors and very much had a "Let's Go!" attitude when it came to traveling. She was strong at heart and in will. Olive, as a Licensed Practical Nurse, was a caregiver to many. She also loved to cook during the holidays. Through her last care giving assignment, Olive became an honorary member of the Palmer family and was treasured by Dick, Charlotte, Randy and Barbara. Olive is survived by her son, Roger (Lisa) Roberts of Grand Junction, CO; her daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Duderstadt of Flagstaff, AZ; her grandchildren, Susan McCoy, Lisa Miracle, Timothy Miller, Michael Duderstadt and Sarah Duderstadt, and her great grandchildren, Jayden and Joseph McCoy and Damien Miracle. Olive is preceded in death by one son, Michael James Moreland. A celebration of Olive's life will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mesa Funeral Service Chapel.
