Val O. Jensen, 79, Fruita,
died Nov. 12, 2010, at Hospice
Care Center.
Visitation will be from 9 to
10 a.m. Thursday at the Redlands
Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at
the church. Burial at Cliffview
Cemetery in Price, Utah.
Mr. Jensen was a coal miner.
Survivors include his wife,
LaMarca; four sons, Mark of
Fruita, Neil and William of
Carbondale and Eric of Glenwood
Springs; and four grandchildren.

Valden O. Jensen, age 79, died
on November 12th 2010 in Grand
Junction, CO. He was surrounded
by all of his family as he passed.
Val was born on March 8, 1931
in Kenilworth, Utah to George
and Rae Jensen. He graduated
from Carbon High School in
Price, Utah in 1949. He married
Edna LaMarca Smith on December,
5th 1958 in Kenilworth,
Utah. They were sealed later at
the Provo Temple for time and all
eternity. They moved to Glenwood
Springs and then Carbondale,
CO and had four sons. He
worked at Mid-Continent Mine
from 1958 to 1980 as a Master
Mechanic.
Val loved to fish, hunt and
camp. He loved spending time
with his family and telling stories
about his life. Val was very active
in the LDS church and served as a missionary and worked in the
Temple.
Val is survived by his wife, Edna LaMarca Jensen and his sons,
Mark (Vickie), Neil (Donna), Eric (Callie), Bill Jensen; his grandchildren,
Jared Jensen, Jessica Gonzalez (Diego), Valden Lee Jensen
and Shawn Jensen. He was going to be a great grandpa in January.
Services will be Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Redlands
LDS Church located at 2235 Kingston Rd. Grand Junction, CO.
Viewing is at 9:00 a.m. and services will follow at 10:00 a.m.
Graveside services will take place at Cliff View Cemetery in Price,
Utah, at 4:00 p.m.
Snell-McLean Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
