Beverley Jean Ables-Boatright (Hawkins) was born August 16,
1927 in Keetly, Utah. She passed away on November 19, 2010.
During her lifetime Beverley accomplished many things. She assisted
her first husband, Leonard Hawkins in opening and operating
the Fruita Sand and Gravel company, raised two children, was
Noble Grande Twice in the Silver Bell Rebekah Lodge in Fruita,
and made many people happy over the duration of her life.
Beverley was a volunteer for many years at Family Health West
where she passed. She would look forward to going and helping
with weekly Bingo and visiting with the residents. Beverley took
pride in belonging to the Silver Bell Rebekah Lodge and was a
member for 40 years. For many years Beverley was a member of the
Grand Junction chapter of the Disabled American Veterans and the
Fruita Progressive Business Women's Club.
Very few people took the time to get to really know Beverley and
to learn what a true and devoted friend she could be. Beverley spent
much of her time doing work for her lodge and various other community
projects.
Beverley married Tom Boatright who was a childhood sweetheart
and spent 23 years with him before his passing in August of 2002.
Beverley was the last of five siblings and she witnessed the passing
of her mother, step-father, her daughter-in-law, two grandchildren,
and most of her dearest friends.
Memorial services will be held at the New Elmwood Cemetery at
11:00 a.m., Monday, December 6, 2010. The family asks that people
bring along any memories of Beverley because we would like to
have people share these at the ceremony.
Instead of flowers please make donations to Family Health West in
her name.
