Arlene was born to Herman and Ida Plambeck on February 8, 1924
in Grand Junction. She attended Pear Park School and lived most of
her life in Grand Junction. She married Manoah Pence Harris and
they had three children. They later divorced and she married Robert
“RT†Barnes. She helped raise his three boys along with her three
children. After RT died, she met Jack Kitchens and they traveled
and had great times until his death.
Arlene worked at and retired from Ultronix.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane; step-son,
Charles; two husbands, four sisters and her parents.
She leaves behind her son, Jerry (Judy) Harris of Denver; son, Tom
(Sharon) Harris of Grand Junction; step-son, Robert (Junella) Barnes
of California; step-son, Terry (Margaret) Barnes of California
and her best friend of 60 years, Laverne Penberthy of Grand Junction.
She also is survived by her grandson, Russ (Brenda) of Washing
State and granddaughter, Brenda (Randy) Beard of Denver; numerous
step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial graveside service on Thursday, July 7 at
10:30 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
