Hazel B. Walker was born on March 25, 1912 to John Franklin &
Flora Mae (Bess) Boler in Augusta, Kentucky, where she lived till
the age of six. Hazel moved to Dayton, Ohio where she lived for 76
years and worked as a manager for a floral shop. Hazel passed away
on December 9, 2010 at her home in Fruita, CO where she had been
a resident for the past 16 years.
Hazel married Everett E. Walker on September 7, 1936 at Harwood
Church in Pulse, OH and they were married until his passing.
She was a member of Hawker United Church of Christ in Dayton,
OH and loved gardening in her flower beds and rose gardens.
Hazel is survived by her sister, Esther M. Lewis of Fruita, CO; and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband,
parents, and brother, Charles Boler.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 from
6:30-8:00 PM at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with a graveside service
on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at New Elmwood Cemetery in
Fruita, CO at 3:00 PM.
