Memorial services for Billie Jo Pirnie are planned Saturday, July 28, at Dry Creek Ranch beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Harrison Heidel of Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Glenwood Springs will lead services.
Family and friends are invited to a reception at the ranch following the service.

Mrs. Billie Jo PIRNIE, who was CEO of Ropir Industries, died Oct. 22 of complications from a hip fracture.
She was 89 and worked up until her accident. During a television interview, she was quoted as saying, "My life has always been one of service to my fellow man: first as a registered nurse, then as a wife and mother and finally as a provider of communication to the public."
Born in Huron, Kan., July 6, 1922, she was graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Kan., in 1940 and then from nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital in 1943. Later in life, she graduated from the University of Kansas, Topeka in advanced management techniques.
Her interest and hobbies were many and varied but none surpassed her love of golf. She was a member of Montgomery (Ala.) Country Club for more than 40 years.
She was also a member of the Saint Andrews Society, Montgomery Chamber of Commerce 1 of 100 Club, the Iona Garden Club, Rotary Club, the D.A.R., Union Springs Ladies Club, VFW Associate, League of Women Voters, the Hoover Institute and was on the board of advisers of the Heritage Foundation. She was particularly to be a member of the Boys of McDonalds.
She is survived by her sons, Robert M. PIRNIE III, of Montgomery, Ala., and Ronald K. PIRNIE, of Fairhope, Ala.; five grandchildren, Kelley Pirnie LAMBERT, of Mobile, Ala., Robert M. PIRNIE IV, of Montgomery, Katherine F. PIRNIE, of Aspen, Megan Pirnie KAMMERUD, of San Francisco, and Leyla Alexis PIRNIE, of Fairhope; six great-grandchildren, Key, Elizabeth and Edwin LAMBERT, of Mobile; Roma and Bradley PIRNIE, of Montgomery and Kip EICHHORN, of Flemington, N.J.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 315 Clanton Ave., Montgmery, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alabama Boys and Girls Ranches or to the Alabama Hospice Organization.
