Darleen Joyce Gray, age 85, a resident of Montrose, CO, passed
away Tuesday evening, June 12, 2011 at her home.
Darleen was born to Sylvester C. and Minnie A. (Heyn) Scott in
Huntington Park, CA. She spent her childhood and received her
education in Marysvale, Utah. Darleen married Arthur W. Gray on
December 8, 1941 in Marysvale and he preceded her in death on
July 18, 1992 in Montrose. She enjoyed working with her hands
doing crafts and needlework. She enjoyed oil painting and spending
time with children and grandchildren.
Surviving family members include her children, Lamar Gray of
Montrose; Steve Gray of Delta, CO; Gerrie Brickett of Pahrump,
NV; Jackie Johnson of Fruita, CO; Joy Hanson and Ken Gray of Salt
Lake City,Utah; sister, Verna Hansen of Utah and numerous grandchildren.
Darleen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
At Darleen's request, cremation has taken place and a private family
inurnment will be held at Grand View Cemetery, west of Montrose.
