Eckert resident, Adron M. Boothe, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at his home in Eckert. He was 73
years of age.
A memorial service honoring Adron's life will be held at 2:00 p.m.,
Saturday, January 1, 2010 at the Pentecostal Church of Delta.
Adron M. Boothe was born to Arnold Matthew and Norma (Godman)
Boothe on November 20, 1937 in Paonia, Colorado. He spent
his childhood in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction
High School in 1955.
On October 6, 2001, Adron married Frieda Hancock in Cedaredge,
Colorado. The couple had celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary
this year. Frieda survives.
Adron found employment as a truck driver and was a member of
Teamsters for many years. His greatest enjoyments in life included
fishing, hunting, and spending time at his cabin every opportunity he
had. Adron resided in Elizabeth, Colorado for several years before
moving to Eckert 10 years ago.
Adron was a member of the Delta Pentecostal Church.
Adron is survived by his wife, Frieda Boothe of Eckert; three sons:
Adron “Pete” Boothe and his wife Norma of Grand Junction, Brad
Huckabay and his wife Trish of Thornton, CO and Lance Booth and
wife Amy of Brighton, CO; three daughters: Terry Faye Boothe and
husband Harold of Clifton, CO, Roberta Huckabay of Delta; and
Wilma Lubin and husband Kurt of Noel, MO; two brothers, Roscoe
Boothe and wife Ellie of Grand Junction and Loyal Boothe of Delta;
and one sister, Pansie Hackler and husband Ed of Redlands Mesa,
CO. He is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Adron was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kelsey
Boothe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Adron's
memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O.
Box 24, Delta, Colorado 81416.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral
Service and Crematory.
