of Parker; two sisters, Beatrice
Gilbert and Darlene Slyter, both
of Englewood; and eight grandchildren.

Peggy Jean Rundle, 80, passed
away on February 6, 2011 after a
long battle against cancer.
Born January 7, 1931 at Fort
Lupton, CO to Darell and Jessie
(Gray) Lakin she spent her childhood
in Englewood, CO graduating
from Englewood High
School. She married Paul Rundle,
also of Englewood, 27 December
1950. Married 60 years, she was a loving housewife and lifelong
companion, who traveled and lived with Paul in numerous locations
in the U.S. and overseas. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist
church, and her interests included traveling, riding motorcycles
with Paul, and especially visiting with her grandchildren. She
finally settled down, living the last 16 years of her life in Grand
Junction, CO where she was surrounded by her many friends.
She is survived by four children, Steuart Rundle of Denver, CO;
Steven Rundle of Charlottesville, VA; Paula Zeh Brock of Coppell,
TX; Renee Stoneham of Keller, TX, and eight wonderful grandchildren.
She is also survived by three siblings, Beatrice Gilbert of
Englewood, CO; Darlene Slyter of Englewood, CO; and Gary Lakin
of Parker, CO. Another brother, Frank Lakin, passed away before
her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February
20, 2011 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand
Junction. The service will be presided over by Chaplain Scott
Houge. Later, she will be placed to rest at the Veterans Memorial
Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, CO.
Always known for her bright smile and sparkling personality.
Throughout her life she never said a bad word about anyone. While
she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her here on
Earth, there will now be a brighter star in the heavens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in her
name to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado,
3090B N. 12th St., Grand Junction, CO 81506.
