Mortuary Chapel. Interment

Marion J. Dickerson of Grand
Junction died February 3, 2011 at
Palisade Living Center. He was
83.
Marion was born on May 24,
1927 in Scribner, NE.
He married Norma I. Knox in
1962 and they shared a local
business. In September 1982, they
renewed their wedding vows.
Marion tried to retire after selling business, but went back to work at
C&F gas stations for another five years (he missed the people and
work).
This last month, Marion said it was time to go see his wife, Norma.
Survivors include his sister, Wilma and Morris Johnson of Red
Oak, IA; sister-in-law, Mona Blandford of Arvada, CO; two daughters
and their spouses; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren;
eight great great grandchildren; and three children and their children
from his first marriage.
Special thanks for wonderful care goes to the friends Jennifer,
Jeannie and Darling, just to name a few at the Palisade Living Center,
and Dr. White, who Marion was always talking about. Hospice
was called in to help take care of Marion.
His funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Burial will be in New Elmwood Cemetery
in Fruita.
