Memorial services for Fred Dwyne BETTS, 23, of Eagle will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Farnum Richardson Chapel in Glenwood Springs.
Mr. BETTS died Sunday, May 28, in an automobile accident on U.S. Highway 6 at the west edge of Eagle.
He was born Dec. 24, 1965, in Denver, the son of Harry and Peggy BETTS. He had resided in Eagle for the past 19 years, after moving here with his family from Granby. He attended elementary and middle schools in Eagle, and high school in Gypsum.
Mr. BETTS worked in an auto body repair shop, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
Surviving in addition to his father, Harry BETTS of Eagle, and his mother, Peggy BETTS of Eagle, are a daughter, Samantha; three sisters, Lavina, Billie Lou and Betty; and a brother, Terry; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Del DYCK of the Gypsum Bible Fellowship will officiate at this afternoon's memorial services. Farnum Richardson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
