Donald E. Boxwell, 75, Grand Junction, died Jan. 20, 2011, at his home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Mortuary, followed by burial at 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Boxwell worked in furniture repair.
Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; three sons, Jason Boxwell and Gary Campbell, both of Grand Junction, and Drew Boxwell of Fayetteville, N.C.; three daughters, June Maykowski of Phoenix, Krystal Milton of Grand Junction and Deborah Hallenbeck of Clifton; two sisters, Beverly Larkey of Pueblo and Ramona Wiseman of Katy, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Donald Edward Boxwell January 25, 1935 – January 20, 2011 Donald Edward Boxwell passed away January 20, 2011 with his loving family by his side, he was 75. Don was born in Eldorado, Colorado on January 25, 1935 from the union of Windel and Wjuanita May (Peel) Boxwell. He spent his childhood and lived in Salida, CO for 25 years, moving to Grand Junction 32 years ago. Don was an honorably discharged Air Force Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grand Junction and a member of the AARP. He was the owner of "Pieces of Wood" furniture restoration and repair for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and art as well as hiking the Serpent Trail on the Colorado National Monument. Don leaves behind his wife of 40 years, LaVonne Boxwell of Grand Junction; three sons, Jason Boxwell of Grand Junction; Drew Boxwell of Fayetteville, NC and Gary Campbell of Grand Junction; three daughters, June Maykowski of Phoenix, AZ; Krystal Milton of Grand Junction and Deborah Hallenbeck of Clifton, CO; two sisters, Beverly Larkey of Pueblo, CO and Ramona Wiseman of Katy, TX; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Martin Mortuary. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
