Margaret Maxine "Maggie" Dove January 25, 1925 – January 19, 2011 Cedaredge resident, Margaret Maxine "Maggie" Dove, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. She was 85 years of age. A private burial will take place at Cedaredge Cemetery on Monday, January 24, 2011. A memorial service honoring Maggie's life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Cedaredge. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care P.O. Box 24, Delta, CO 81416 or to Colorow Care Center, P.O. Box 710, Olathe, CO 81425. Margaret Maxine Wetterberg was born to Alfred and Catherine Josephine (Volz) Wetterberg on January 25, 1925 in Boulder, Colorado. She spent her childhood on her parent's farm north of Boulder, Colorado, and graduated from Boulder High School with the class of 1943. On May 19, 1944, Maggie married the love of her life, Eugene William "Gene" Dove in Boulder, Colorado. To this union, a daughter was born. The Dove's resided in Boulder, Colorado, for many years before retiring to Cedaredge in 1986. Maggie and Gene had the honor of sharing 66 years of love and marriage. Maggie, a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed spending time in her garden and cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed making baskets, weaving, hunting and fishing. Maggie had a special interest in Native American art and culture. Maggie is survived by her husband, Gene Dove of Cedaredge; her only daughter, Patricia and her husband Peter Urone of Citrus Heights, CA; and two grandchildren, Christopher Urone of Fresno, CA and Dustin Urone of Carlsbad, CA. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
