Walter E. BISHOP, 34, formerly of Eagle, died July 8 in Taiwan after a short illness. At the time of his death, he was a petty officer first class in the U. S. Navy. A serviceman for 18 years, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps for six years and with the Navy for 12, and also served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
A funeral service with full military honors was held July 25 at the Eagle Methodist Church. Interment, also with full military honors, was at Sunset View Cemetery in Eagle.
He is survived by his wife, Chieko; two sons, Che and Timmy; and his stepfather and mother, Time and Barbara Sothman; all of Eagle.
Funeral arrangements were by Moore-Howard Mortuary in Denver.
