MRS. J. T. BLAKE DIED IN PUEBLO AUG. 21.
Mrs. James T. BLAKE, 71, a resident of Canon City for 20 years, died Thursday in a Pueblo hospital. She had been in failing health for six months and in serious condition for a month.
Mrs. BLAKE was born in Wilbur, Ky. Sept. 28, 1886. She was married on May 9, 1909 to James Theodore BLAKE at Vernal, Utah. The family moved to Colorado in June 1910, and lived for many years at Red Cliff. In 1938, they moved to Canon City.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Mrs. Ruth COATES of Pueblo and two grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Della ALTENREID was killed in an automobile accident in 1953.
The funeral and burial were Monday in Canon City.
