WORKER KILLED ON HOMESTAKE JOB.
Harold BLOMQUIST, 24 was fatally injured Monday on the Homestake Water Project. BLOMQUIST, a tunnel worker, was crushed between a muck car and muck train in the Missouri Tunnel, southeast of Red Cliff.
BLOMQUIST is married and the father of two children. His widow is expecting a third child.
Their home in in Craig and they recently moved to a trailer court at Edwards to work at Homestake.
He was an employee of Boyles Bros. Drilling Co., a subcontractor for drilling the 7000-foot tunnel. The project will supply Colorado Springs and Aurora with domestic water.
