Eagle Valley Enterprise - December 14, 1961

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for George E. BODLE, who died in Denver Dec. 8, 1961.
Mr. BODLE was born in Bradford, Illinois, June 3, 1895. He was a veteran of World War I, and for the past 15 years was employed at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver. He had planned to retire in the near future and make his home in Gypsum where he bought land, intending to move a trailer home there. Mr. BODLE had spent part of the fall in Gypsum with his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Frank CADE.
He is survived by two nephews, Vernon and Marshall BODLE of Oregon. The former flew here for the funeral and is the son of Mrs. CADE.
Reverend H. C. MOORHEAD gave the funeral sermon at the Gypsum Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon. Interment was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Gypsum, directed by Miller Mortuary. The pallbearers wee Marion BAKER, Wm. PALLISTER, Art STREMME, Ronald ESTES, Henry SCHROEDER, L. W. ROBIDOUX.
