Christopher W. Schroeder was born on May 25, 1980 in Delta,
Colorado and went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday,
February 19, 2011 in Eugene, Oregon.
Chris was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time
with family, catch and release fishing, and especially enjoyed playing
board games.
Monopoly was his all time favorite. Chris' gentleness and kindness
left an impression on so many and he always put others before himself.
He could woo a crying baby in moments and his imagination
kept children busy for hours.
Chris grew up in the western slope and went to Cedaredge High
School. He also attended DeVry University in Texas. Chris was a
welder by trade and enjoyed his profession.
Surviving family members include his father, Charles Schroeder of
Austin, Colorado; mother, Rubie Schroeder of Dallas, Texas; sister,
Tammi Scheetz (Jeff) of Montrose, Colorado; brother, Ben
Schroeder of Austin, Colorado; sister, Lorena Pedford (Toby) of
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two nephews, Philip Scheetz and Ryan
Scheetz and three nieces, Samara Pedford, Alaysia Pedford and Liberty
Pedford. He was loved by so many.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at
1:30 p.m.. Interment will follow at Eckert Cemetery in Eckert, Colorado.
