Miss Ruby JAMES passed to the Great Beyond Wednesday of last week [Sept. 12]. Her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Leadville.

Miss Ruby Elizabeth James, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dave James passed away at the home of her parents at Allenton, Wed September 5, 1923.
Miss James was born in Leadville and came to Eagle county when but a small child, being 2 years old when her parents moved. She as a pupil of Edwards schools, where she received her education. Eleven years ago, while at school, she had an unfortunate accident which left her a cripple for life, though her parents spared no expense to affect a cure. The disease of her limbs affected her heart, eventually causing her death. Miss James was a kind and loving girl, who made friends of all with whom she came in contact. She leaves to mourn her loss a mother and father, ten sisters and 1 brother of Allenton; and an aunt, Mrs. Von Fall and grandfather, Edward Roberts of Seattle, Wash. The remains were taken to Leadville for burial and laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery.
