Duane Peter Ottosen, age 81 of
Meeker, Colorado, passed away at
his home on July 25, 2011.
He was born in Provo, Utah on
May 18, 1930 to Byron Clinton
and Vera Marie Christensen Ottosen.
He lived in Meeker all of
his life and was a rancher for
many years and was a talented
well witcher. He also drove the
school bus for 28 years and loved
all the kids he drove to and from
school. He was a member of The
C h u r c h o f J e s u s C h r i s t o f
Latter-Day-Saints and did Temple
work often at the Vernal Utah
LDS Temple. Pete also belonged
to the Lion's Club and donated
Christmas trees from his ranch.
He was always to lend a helping
hand to those in need. He had a
heart of gold and was a great
neighbor and friend.
Pete is survived by his brother, Lyle Clinton (Glenna) Ottosen of
Meeker, and sisters, JoAnne Findlay of Meeker, and Shirley Fliegel
of Vernal, Utah.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2011 at
11:00 a.m. at the Meeker LDS Church in Meeker, Colorado.
Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the chapel.
Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery under the direction of the
Rio Blanco Mortuary.
