Graveside services for Kai I. BONSER, 81, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.
Mr. BONSER, a resident of the Eagle/Gypsum area for more than 40 years, died Friday, Dec. 29, at the Heritage Care Center in Carbondale.
He was born April 9, 1908, at Battle Creek, Mich., the son of George BONSER and Nellie BONSER. He never married.
Mr. BONSER was a longtime prospector for gold and silver, and was recognized as a self-taught philosopher.
Surviving are a brother, George BONSER, of Minnesota and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Trey HOLT of Farnum-Richardson Mortuary in Glenwood Springs officiated at Wednesday's services.
