Rodney Harold Wright, age 73,
passed away Thursday, July 28,
2011.
Rodney was born August 14,
1937 in Grand Junction, CO to
Harold Lester and Marjorie
(Brown) Wright. He graduated
Central High School in 1955.
Following graduation, Rodney
proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Sharon Griffee; she passed away in 1973. Rodney was a
stocker for grocery stores and a member of UFCW Local #7 Union.
Rodney loved to ride his ATV. He was an avid member of the
Western Slope ATV Association. He loved to visit the Grand Mesa
with his family, win at cards and board games, be outdoors, and
make people laugh.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Josie
Wright; brother, Alvin Wright; sister, Jeanice Swank all of Grand
Junction; and three grandchildren, Sharon Wright, Kristen Wright
and Angeline Fish.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:30
a.m. on the hillside of Orchard Mesa Cemetery. A potluck reception
will be at 4:00 p.m. at the East Shelter in Lincoln Park.
