K. Edward Collins passed away
June 22, 2011 at E. Dene Moore
Nursing Home in Rifle, CO.
Ed was a devoted husband and
father, an ironworker in the mining
industry, past Elks Club, exulted
ruler, Lions Club - president,
and always a farmer at heart.
He was preceded in death by his
son, Jim Collins and daughter,
Diana Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Rifle; daughter-in-law, Kathy
Collins of Nampa, ID; son-in-law, Roy Bailey of Fruita; daughter,
Bobbie (Ed) Botkin of Emmett, ID; sons, Ken (Julie) Collins of
Grand Junction; Bruce (Betty) Collins of Rifle; sister, Maurine Reed
of Fruita and brother, Bob (Virginia) Saunders of Mack; 11 grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, the 6th of
August at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
In lieu of flowers, please gift to Lower Valley Fire Dept. to whom
the Collins family is so grateful to for their amazing responsiveness
and kind hearted care these past years. Donations may be mailed to

sister, Maurine Reed of Fruita;
11 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren.
