Ronald Wayne Fahrmeyer was born to Otis Wayne and Donna Lee Fahrmeyer in Horton, Kan., on Dec. 24, 1946. He was the first born of nine children and lived life with a great energy and enthusiasm.
Ron graduated from high school in Robinson, Kan., in 1964, and shortly thereafter joined the Air Force. He simultaneously became Air Force staff sergeant and graduated University of Arizona Dean's List while raising a family in Tucson, Ariz.
He raised two children and two young cousins with then-wife Dianna Lynn.
During the last 25 years, he has resided in Eagle County, his forever home. He pursued extensive activities and touched many lives. His energy and generous spirit will be remembered by all.
Ron passed away quietly Jan. 14. He lived his life to the fullest and is remembered with love by his family of eight siblings, his children Terri, Scott and Lisa, six grandchildren, 23 nieces and nephews and 34 grand-nieces and grand-nephews — as well as his vast extended family of dear friends.
His family extends its deepest gratitude to Hospice of the Valley and the Veterans Association of Grand Junction.
