James L. Trowbridge died as a result of pulmonary disease on May
2, 2011 at the Veterans Medical Center. He was 93 years old.
James was born on March 27, 1918 in Norwood, Ohio to Ralph
and Violet (Hetherington) Trowbridge. He spent his childhood in Illinois.
He was married to Hazel, she passed away in March, 2006 in
Grand Junction. Jim served in the Army Corps of Engineers in
WWII. He retired from the U.S. Government.
He is survived by sons, James R. Trowbridge of Lakewood, CO
and Richard L. Trowbridge of Smithers, B.C. Canada; four grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is being held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00
a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Reverend Dave Haverkorn will
officiate.
