OLD RESIDENT OF COUNTY DIED IN GLENWOOD. MRS. JAMES BRAY, LONG TIME RESIDENT OF MINTURN, DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS.
Funeral services were held in Minturn July 3 for Mrs. James H. BRAY, who passed away at the Community hospital in Glenwood June 30, following a lingering illness. The elderly lady had made her home with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mae COX in Eagle the past several years.
Emma WARREN was born in Michigan on January 4, 1861, and moved to Central City, Colo., when a very small girl. In 1878, she was married to James W. COX, who passed away in 1926. Three children were born of this union, all three preceding her in death. She was later married to James H. BRAY, and resided at Minturn and Denver until Mr. BRAY's death in 1936. Since that time she has made her home in Eagle with Mrs. COX. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, June TRIBBLE and Shirley STRYE, and by a great grandson, Thomas Carl STRYE, and several nieces and nephews. Of these Mrs. Arthur GRANT of New Castle, Mrs. Willis KINNEY of Estes Park and Mr. and Mrs. Earl WARREN of Glenwood were present at the funeral services Tuesday.
Burial was made in Leadville. Rev. J. W. BARTRUG pronounced the funeral discourse. Pall bearers were Walter GUIRE, W. L. WILSON, Charles DEARING, Wm. FLYNN, Charles RuSH, and Gene K. LUBY.
