Vera E. (Yager) Foss, 96,
Palisade, died March 12, 2011, at
her home.
Services will be at 7 p.m.
Thursday at First Baptist
Church of Palisade. Private
inurnment will be at Palisade
Municipal Cemetery.
Survivors include one son,
John Richard of Clifton; two
grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Vera Elizabeth (Yager) Foss was
born in Stuart, IA, August 24,
1914, to Charles and Mary Yager.
She married John E. Foss on October
1, 1937. He is deceased.
Vera was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Palisade. She
worked with the Mesa County
Migrant Ministry and the Child
and Migrant Services from the
beginning of these programs. For many years she worked with the
Hospitality Center, operated the Mesa County Migrant Ministry's
Thrift Shop and volunteered at the Palisade Nursing Home.
Vera is survived by one son, John Richard (Marian); two grandsons,
Gary (Darlene), and Lance (Paige), and one great granddaughter,
Avelyn. Vera was preceded in death by her granddaughter,
Noel, one brother and two sisters.
A memorial service for Vera will be held at 7:00 p.m., March 17,
2011 at the First Baptist Church of Palisade with Rev. Mark Johnson
officiating. Private inurnment will be in Palisade Municipal Cemetery.
