My precious gift, Matthew Carlos
Wilson, went home to be with
Jesus, April 9, 2011. Matthew
was born July 30, 1991 in Grand
Junction, Colorado. He was 19
years old.
Matthew graduated from Palisade
High School in 2010. He
was the manager for basketball
and soccer teams and was on the
school track team participating in shot put and discus. He received
several awards for volunteering and in sports. Matthew was well
liked by teachers and students.
Matthew attended the Palisade Church of the Nazarene. He loved
God and had strong convictions. He was eager to share God's love
with others by helping them to make right choices. Matthew was a
unique young man who stood for what he believed in.
Matthew spent summers attending church camp, volunteering at
Teepee Bible Camp and Vacation Bible School. Matthew had recently
participated in a Nazarene mission trip to the Navajo Nation.
He also enjoyed playing on the church softball team. He really liked
to play and watch basketball. Matthew loved animals. He loved the
outdoors and especially like hiking and his music.
Matthew leaves behind his mother, Deborah Wilson and his sister,
Sara Wilson both of Grand Junction, CO; two uncles, George
(Karen) Wilson of Pueblo, CO, and Philip Wilson of Denver, CO;
Aunt Janice (Bill) Ramey of Las Animas, CO, and his cousins,
Doug Ramey, Derek Ramey, Damon Ramey, Dannette Ramirez,
Deana Warnken, Donnie Wilson, Karrie Barbee, Rebekkah Maker,
Andrew Wilson, Peter Wilson and Melissa Wilson.
Matthew will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 4 - 6:00 p.m. at Mesa Funeral Services,
832 South Seventh Street. A Memorial Services will be at the
Palisade Church of the Nazarene, 3593 Front Street in Palisade, CO
at 5:00 p.m.

19, Grand Junction, died April 7,
2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6
p.m. Tuesday at Mesa Funeral Service
Chapel. Services will be at
5 p.m. Wednesday at Palisade
Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his mother,
Deborah of Grand Junction;
and one sister, Sara of Grand
Junction.
