Hazel Randall YOST

Hazel Randall YOST was born in Johnstown, Nebraska May 14, 1891 and died at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver February 29, 1956 at the age of 64 years, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. YOST came to Colorado with her parents, Douglas and Elda RANDALL as a child. Her father was a carpenter-contractor. The family settled in the Eagle area and remained for a while before moving to Buena Vista, where they lived for several years. Mrs. YOST returned to Eagle shortly before her marriage to Earl YOST February 22, 1915. To this union were born five children: Thomas E. and James E., both of Eagle; Alfreda Jean KELLOG and Betty Jo NUNN, both of Glenwood Springs, and Nelson D., who preceded her in death July 31, 1955.

Beside her children, she is survived by her husband, Earl A. of Eagle; four grandchildren, Bert NUNN, Ronnie, Darla and Rickey KELLOGG, all of Glenwood; three brothers, Les RANDALL of Mesa, Ariz., Will RANDALL of Gypsum; and Lou RANDALL of Dillon; three sisters Mrs. Myrtle DIEKERMAN and Mrs. Ethel BOHAM, both of Denver and Mrs. Mary HAGADORN of Princetown, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Ralph, Joe and John RANDALL and a sister, Irene FRAME.

Funeral services were held at the Eagle Community Methodist Church Saturday, March 3. Rev. Byron HASSTEDT officiated. Bowman Funeral Chapel of Eagle was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Jane LONG was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Lola CHAMBERS. Pallbearers were Harry LEWIS, Dick MORGAN, Ed COOK, Wm. STANLEY and N.D. MORGAN.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the services included: Mr. and Mrs. Roy BERKELY, Colorado Springs; Mrs. Myrtle DIEKERMAN, Mrs. Ethel BOHAM, Mr. and Mrs. Frank McMICHAEL, Mr. and Mrs. Jim PING, Mr. and Mrs. Rule, Monte Savage, and Rocco Gentile all of Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Les Randall, Mesa, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Gordon THAYER, Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Lula SETZ and Durwood STAPP of Pueblo, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer OWENS and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin TRUMP of Minturn, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde FRITZ of Dove Creek, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. TREVATHAN, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff CALDWELL, Mrs. Alfreda KELLOGG, Mr. and Mrs. Howard NUNN, and Mrs. Glenda PAINE, all of Glenwood.

Burial was in the family plot in Sunset View Cemetery, Eagle.

Mrs. Earl YOST Died in Denver Wednesday

Mrs. Hazel Yost, wife of Earl Yost of Denver died at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver Wednesday morning, a victim of leukemia.

Mrs. Yost ahd been in failing health for several years. About three weeks ago she entered the Denver hospital for treatment. Her condition had seemed improved, and the family looked forward to her return home soon. Her death Wednesday was unexpected and sudden.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at the Eagle Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock. FUneral arrangements are under the direction of Bowman Funeral Chapel of Eagle.

A son of the Yosts', Nelson, was killed in a motorcycle accident near Avon last fall.
