Eagle resident Frances Mary BUREAU died Monday, May 6, at the Vail Valley Medical Center. She was 56.
Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. today, Thursday, May 9, at the Community United Methodist Church in Eagle. The Rev. Steve GOODIER will preside.
She was born June 29, 1928, in Philadelphia, Penn., and attended school in both Philadelphia and New York City.
Mrs. BUREAU married Raymond E. BUREAU on April 5, 1947, in Philadelphia. They moved to Eagle in August 1975.
In 1977, she began work at the first Bank of Eagle County and was employed there as a loan clerk. Before moving to Eagle, she worked in the newspaper and office fields, doing payroll and other jobs.
She was an officer in the Order of Easter Star and active in the Friends of the Library and Dandylions. She taught several courses at Colorado Mountain College and saw numerous articles on a wide variety of subjects published during her career.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of Eagle; daughter Marie KINSEY, Florida; sister Margaret SIMPKINS, New Jersey; and three grandchildren.
