Ernest BURKE of Belle Fourche, S.D., formerly of the Minturn area, died Tuesday, March 26 at Fort Meade Veterans Medical Center, Sturgis, S.D. He was 83.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Allene BURKE. Survivors include four sons: Dennis JOHNSON of West Branch, Mich., Boyd BURKE of Canon City, Colo., Patrick BURKE of Edwards, and Lynn BURKE of Takoma Park, Md.; three daughters: Cheryl WILLIAMS of Pierre, S.D., Alice BURKE of Marksville, La., and Ruth ARELLANO of West Branch, Mich; 16 grand children and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church in Sturgis. Burial was at Black Hills National Cemetery. Full military honors were provided.
