Gloria Rae Wilson passed away
on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Family
Heath West, in Fruita, Colorado.
Gloria was born to Thomas and
Clara Snell Garbett on February
21, 1940 in Eureka, Utah. She
spent her childhood in the Eureka
area attending Tintic High
School. She married Glen J. Wilson
May 4, 1957, divorcing from him in 2004. She moved to Grand
Junction in 1964 where she continued to live until her passing.
Gloria's family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed quilt making and
crafts, making tomato soup and grilled cheese for her grandchildren
and working in her flower beds. Her family knows that she is back
with her beloved dog Tuffy as she waits for them in Heaven.
Gloria leaves behind four brothers, Max, Jack, Allen, and Dick all
of Eureka, Utah; son, Glenn Jay Wilson of Meeker, Colorado;
daughters, Gloria Ann Eller of Texas and Mary Ellen Wilson of
Grand Junction; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as
well as many friends she has made along the way. She is preceded in
death by both parents; a brother, Bill and a sister, Colleen Taylor.
Burial will take place Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Eureka City
Cemetery in Eureka, Utah.
