Daniel Leonard Anders peacefully
passed away June 23, 2011
at his residence in Montrose surrounded
by his loving family.
Dan was born December 25,
1920 in Montrose, Colorado, the
son of James and Maude Anders.
He graduated from Olathe High
School in 1938 and then married
his high school sweetheart, Elaine
Dickerson and they had two children, Danny Anders of Fremont,
California and Linda Reynolds of Delta, Colorado. After Elaine
passed away at a young age, Dan then met and married Viola Marie
Seip. They had four children, Gary Anders of Vernal Utah; twins,
Karen Graybeal of Montrose, Colorado and Sharon Anders of
Houston, Texas, and Vickie Anders of Cortez Colorado. Dan is survived
by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and special
family friend, Bob Blackledge.
Dan was an avid sports fan especially the Colorado Rockies. Other
hobbies included dancing, fishing, and most of all, time spent with
family and friends. His love of family and sense of humor will be
greatly missed!
Funeral services will be held at Crippin Funeral Home, 802 East
Main Street Montrose, Colorado on Monday June 27th at 1:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home &
Crematory, Montrose.
